Introduction to the 60–80 TPH Portable Stone Crushing Plant (Jaw + Cone Crusher Combination)

1. Core Equipment Overview

These portable rock crushers are designed for medium-scale stone production, with a steady working capacity of 60 to 80 tons per hour.

The whole set is a complete two-stage crushing and screening system. It includes a portable jaw crushing station for feeding and primary crushing, plus a portable cone crushing station for secondary crushing and final screening. This matched set of portable rock crushers works perfectly for most common stone processing projects.

The jaw station handles big raw stones and breaks them down into medium-size materials. Then the cone station further crushes and screens the stones into clean, finished aggregates.

 

- Portable Jaw Crushing Station (Primary Crushing)

It is fitted with a standard PE 500×750 jaw crusher. The feed opening size is 500×750mm, and it can take raw stones up to 420mm in size. This machine breaks large rock blocks into medium materials between 50mm and 100mm. It is the first and most important crushing unit of these portable rock crushers.

- Portable Cone Crushing Station (Secondary Crushing & Screening)

This unit uses a PYSB 0917 spring cone crusher with a 900mm crushing cone. It comes with a built-in vibrating screen. After receiving coarse materials from the jaw crusher, it finely crushes and screens the stones into different finished sizes. This completes the full production flow of the portable rock crushers.

All key parts — feeder, crusher, screen, conveyor belts and control cabinet — are installed on a mobile tire chassis. No concrete foundation is needed. You can move and set up these portable rock crushers very fast on any job site. Normally, the average output ranges from 70 to 90 tons per hour. They work well for granite, basalt, limestone, river pebbles and many other kinds of rock.


2. Feed Size Standard

Max feeding size: 420mm

The PE 500×750 jaw crusher supports a maximum input size of 420mm. During daily operation, we suggest keeping the feed size under 420mm. This way, the machine feeds smoothly and avoids blockage. Because of this stable feeding performance, these portable rock crushers are ideal for mining site rocks and large natural stones.

8. Working Principle

Jaw Crushing Station (First Stage Crushing)

This machine works by extrusion movement:

The motor drives the eccentric shaft, making the movable jaw move back and forth. When the movable jaw closes to the fixed jaw, big stones are squeezed and broken. When the jaw opens again, the broken stones fall down by gravity. The output material size is kept between 50–100mm, then sent to the cone crusher for further processing.


Cone Crushing & Screening Station (Second Stage)

The cone crusher uses layer crushing:

After coarse stones enter the crushing chamber, the motor drives the eccentric sleeve, making the movable cone swing continuously. The stones are squeezed, bent and crushed layer by layer.

Qualified small stones fall out and go to the vibrating screen for classification. After screening, you get four clean finished sizes. Any oversize stones will be sent back to the cone crusher for re-crushing, so the portable rock crushers achieve full closed-loop production.

10. Standard Operation Steps

Before Starting

Startup Order

Cone Crusher → Vibrating Screen → Conveyor Belt → Jaw Crusher

Working Rules

- Do not start the machine with materials inside

- Operators must wear safety gear and keep a safe distance

Shutdown Order

1. Low output or chamber blockage

Reason: oversized feeding, fast feeding speed, worn jaw plates or small discharge gap

Solution: control feed size, feed evenly, replace worn parts and adjust discharge opening

2. Strong vibration or high oil temperature in cone crusher

Reason: uneven feeding, worn liners, poor lubrication or damaged bearings

Solution: stabilize feeding, replace liners, change lubrication oil and repair bearings

3. Uneven finished stone size

Reason: worn liner parts, incorrect gap setting or screen damage

Solution: replace wear parts, reset gap and repair the vibrating screen

4. Machine fails to start

Reason: power problem, motor damage or material blockage

Solution: check power supply, clean chamber and reset overload protection

5. Iron block jams the cone crusher

Reason: mixed metal debris or broken spring parts

Solution: use hydraulic cavity cleaning, remove foreign objects and replace broken parts

6. Belt slipping or deviation

Reason: loose belt or blocked rollers

Solution: adjust belt tension and clean conveyor parts
